SUSPICIOUS fans are speculating that former late-night funnyman Jay Leno's latest mysterious mishap, which left him with a broken wrist, a battered face and a mangled left eye, was the result of a mob hit!

Jay suffered burns to his face, hands and chest in a gasoline fire and received treatment at the Grossman Burn Center

The 74-year-old TV talker, who's worth an estimated $450 million, tried to shrug off the accident with a fishy story about how he was staying at a cut-rate Hampton Inn outside Pittsburgh before a gig. Instead of driving or walking a mile and a half down the road to a restaurant, he took a shortcut but then accidentally tumbled down a 60-foot hill.
