‘Ekin-Su was born to be a star, she’s always loved the spotlight’

Ekin-Su’s mum Sezer exclusively tells new why people shouldn’t be so quick to judge her daughter – and how she has been destined for stardom since she was a little girl

For someone who’s only been in the Love Island villa a few weeks, Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu has had her fair share of relationship drama.

The Turkish actress, 27, came in as a bombshell, stealing Davide Sanclimenti from under Gemma Owen’s nose. But then in walked Scottish businessmen Jay Younger – and her head was immediately turned. She was soon caught sneaking off for cheeky snogs with Jay, so Davide, 27, was not a happy boy.

Then, Antigoni Buxton, 26, arrived and took Jay on a date.

Jay, 28, told Ekin-Su he wanted to get to know other girls – including her pal Paige Thorne, 24 – and Ekin-Su made it very clear things were over.

And now, Ekin-Su seems keen to get to know Charlie Radnedge, 28. We can hardly keep up!

But Ekin-Su’s mum has defended her, saying she had no choice but to cause “explosions” or she could have been voted off.

In an exclusive chat, retired teacher and psychotherapist Sezer Cülcüloglu slams Davide for calling her daughter a liar.

She also says “Su” has been determined to become famous since she was three and is already a big name in Turkey – and adds that her girl wanted to couple up with Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page before the ITV contest started.

“I know Su likes Luca because she told me she finds him attractive,” Sezer, 56, said.

“We got to look at pictures of all of the contestants and she was saying, ‘Luca looks nice.’ She also liked Andrew but she had no chance with either of them as they were already coupled up by the time she entered.
