From love triangles to jealous exes, The Only Way Is Essex is never short of drama and Dan Edgar has found himself in the eye of the storm in recent years. The reality hunk, 34, has been on an emotional rollercoaster since splitting from Amber Turner in May 2023, in tear-jerking scenes on the show. But things seemed to be looking up for him last series when he embarked on a new romance with co-star Ella Rae Wise - something that caused a bit of a divide within the cast.
Yet the relationship seemed to end before it really began as the pair cooled things off after a break from filming.
But chatting exclusively with new this week, Dan confirms that he and Ella, 24, are giving things another go after a breakdown in communication. "We are seeing if we can get back to where we were," he admits.
Here, Dan tells us what went wrong the first time round, whether he'll be introducing Ella to his family any time soon and gives us an update on all the latest Essex drama...
Hi, Dan! There was lots of back and forth with Amber last time we saw you on screen, how are you feeling now?
Yeah, no matter how much time goes by it is never nice to be away [during filming in Cyprus] with your ex.
But there's nowhere else to go with it. We are very much done.
We still have the tie of the dog [Dan and Amber's shared dog, Oliver] but we don't really talk any more - we were never going to rekindle. Too much has happened and we both went our separate ways.
We saw you and Ella together last series, but what went wrong after filming?
