Ferne boosted by ITV support

The channel ignores calls to axe Ferne McCann’s TV show following the voice notes scandal and talks of “plans for next year”

ITV is standing by Ferne McCann as her “fat-shaming” fallout with long-time pal Sam Faiers rumbles on, new can exclusively reveal. Sources said the news is a major boost for the 32-year-old, who has been under fire over a series of leaked voice notes.

Some viewers had urged ITV to axe Ferne’s hit reality show, First Time Mum, which features her four-year-old daughter Sunday. One ranted, “I think the best thing would be to cancel her shows and cut all ties,” while another said, “ITV need to drop Ferne.”

But ITV told new last week, “There are plans for the show to return next year.”
