Gemma Collins delighted fans when she posted a selfie alongside Rebel Wilson – with many calling the pair “an iconic duo” and noting that they look like sisters. And now a source has told new that they are genuine pals and that the GC has been seriously “inspired” by Rebel, as she vows to shed the pounds for her upcoming wedding day – or shall we say, wedding days!
The former TOWIE star got engaged to partner Rami Hawash for the third time after a surprise Maldives proposal in February. And Gemma recently told us in an exclusive chat how she is planning not one, but three weddings – one in the UK, a second abroad, and a third, more intimate ceremony for close friends and family.
The reality TV favourite recently lost an impressive 20lb after working with social media star and bodybuilder Eddie Abbew – and it seems that her unlikely Hollywood bestie, Rebel, is the inspiration behind her big wedding shape-up.
The source claims that the pair feel they can relate to each other after “struggling with their weight and food issues”.
They added, “They’ve also both had tough times in love and with trolling. Gemma especially is really inspired by Rebel. She is so impressed by her incredible weight-loss journey; she’s taking inspiration from how Rebel shed the pounds to help her on the road to her own big wedding shape-up.
“It’s not always easy being a ‘bigger’ size when you’re a public figure, so they know what the other has experienced. With Gemma’s wedding coming up, she’s really focusing on herself.
