As most parents know, bedtimes can be anything but relaxing – even if you only have to deal with one or two kids. So it’s difficult to imagine going through the taxing nighttime routine with a houseful of youngsters. But this is the reality for “supermum” Paris Fury, who last month welcomed her seventh child with her boxer husband Tyson.
Always ready to offer a lending hand to other mothers, Paris spoke exclusively to new after the birth three weeks ago of their son, Prince Rico Paris Fury – known as Rico. The 33-year-old mum and Netflix favourite opened up about the neat tips and tricks she uses to manage her often chaotic household.
As well as the new arrival, Paris and Tyson have children Venezuela Lynda, 14, Prince John James, 12, Prince Tyson II, seven, Valencia Amber, five, Prince Adonis Amaziah, four, and Athena Amour, two, so she certainly has her hands full.
But among the hacks she’s mastered when it comes to juggling her big brood, Paris tells us that the key to a happy home is an extremely strict routine when it’s time for bed – but be prepared for last-minute hitches.
She adds, “I’m not hell-bent on it. Because I know every day changes and if you’re busy and have a lot to do it’s not the be-all and end-all.
“If we were out and suddenly it’s 10 o’clock at night, then the routine changes. But if we’re at home, I think it’s good to get the kids to bed at the same time so they have that good bit of time to sleep before school, and it also gives you and your partner time to sit together, have a conversation and have a mental chill down.”
