It’s been a tough few weeks for Kerry Katona. Following the agonising surgery on her nose, she faced further upset when her fiancé Ryan Mahoney failed to contact her following the operation and she moved in with her mum Sue.
But, while Ryan and Kerry have now kissed and made up after the painful reconstructive procedure and relationship blip, Kerry is thankful her close pal Katie Price has been there for her throughout the whole ordeal.
“Katie called Kerry almost every day while Kerry was staying at her mum’s after the surgery. She’s been a real rock and Kerry appreciates it,” a source told us.
“Katie understands what it can be like and they’ve gotten much closer again over the last few months. Kerry feels she can really lean on Katie again.”
Last week, in her emotionally charged new column, Kerry, 43, told of her tears since going under the knife as she struggled to look at her new face in the mirror and was disheartened at the lack of support from Ryan.
“If I’m honest, I’ve felt more lonely than ever during my recovery,” she explained. “Ryan was away getting a tattoo in London when I went into hospital and I haven’t seen him since my surgery over a week ago. That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with the emotional support.”
