Fern Britton has opened up about how she weathers difficult periods in life by just getting on with things, saying, “When things are tough, you’ve just got to put one foot in front of another.”
The TV presenter, 65, made the comments just weeks after ex-husband Phil Vickery was pictured kissing her best friend, Lorraine Stanton.
The pair insisted they are just friends and Fern was forced to address the issue on social media.
Speaking at the Good Housekeeping Live festival last week, she gave an insight on how she copes in times of stress and difficulty, saying, “You need to just find somebody and put your arms around them, and have a hug and a cup of tea and, generally, that fixes everything.
