Michelle Keegan's new Netflix series has got audiences talking - - and could lead to a potential move across the pond for the actress as Hollywood beckons.
Michelle's performance as stylish single mum Maya Stern in the psychological thriller Fool Me Once has reportedly caught the attention of film execs who are vying to get the Mancunian actress on their books in a deal that could see her wave goodbye to her life in the UK.
And according to brand and culture expert Nick Ede, it's the perfect time for former Corrie star Michelle, 36, who lives in Essex with husband Mark Wright, also 36, to spread her wings.
"This is Michelle's golden moment," he told new. "She's really earned her acting stripes and she's held her own as the lead performer in Fool Me Once against Joanna Lumley, who is known all over the world.
"It's really given Michelle a platform to make her a major star. All eyes are on her at the moment because Netflix is watched by millions of people globally and her series is number one here and in the US. She looks every inch the Hollywood leading lady and she has star quality."
The eight-part crime drama, which is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Harlan. Coben, received mixed reviews from critics but leapt to the top of the Netflix charts after premiering on New Year's Day.
"When some actors leave soaps, they go off into the wilderness but Michelle hasn't done that," Nick said. "She's shown she's very versatile. She can do drama or a Bridgertontype show or comedy. It's a magical formula.
