Celebrities from the world of entertainment were out in force at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards 2024, which marks its 75th anniversary this year. Leading the way to support the children’s charity was Amanda Holden, who showed up on the red carpet in a striking white cut-out gown before she took on presenting duties at the bash, which was held at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square.
But barely an hour later, Amanda had changed her outfit. The Britain’s Got Talent judge slipped into a plunging black and white dress for the ceremony, during which she urged the room’s famous faces to donate to Variety, which supports disabled and disadvantaged youngsters. The ceremony recognised “remarkable contributions” to show business, and included a silent auction to raise money for the charity.
Among the many guests was Dame Joan Collins, who was the picture of Hollywood glamour in a black gown with semi-sheer puff sleeves. On the night, she received the charity’s Silver Heart Award 2024 for Outstanding Contribution To Global Film And Television. Another VIP guest was the Chair of Variety, Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE, who proudly watched over proceedings.
It was a date night for Hit List couple Rochelle and Marvin Humes, who both looked elegant in black at the event. Rochelle was awarded a gong for her work in entrepreneurship and entertainment – following the success of her children’s toiletries brand, My Little Coco.
