REPRISING TWO OF HIS BIGGEST ROLES, THE ACTOR IS STOKED TO BE CENTRE STAGE AGAIN

Before Season 1 of the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That... premiered in December 2021, John Corbett caused a stir by joking that he would be returning in his role as Aidan Shaw, the controversial on-again-off-again love interest for Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker).

"It was fun. It was fun for him to say that," Parker, 58, defended him on Watch What Happens Live in February last year. "He actually reached out, very kindly, because he's nothing if not a gentleman, and apologised for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, 'No, no, no, it's a free country first of all.' And second of all, I thought it was kind of delightful and fun."

What started as a prank for Corbett became more serious once the series began to gain steam.

"I would get a little jealous that I wasn't asked to come back and do a cameo," Corbett, 62, confessed to The New  York Times. "Especially when some of the photos would pop up of them shooting in the streets."

Cut to this February, and Parker shared Instagram snaps of herself and Corbett on set in a steamy embrace. "This. Is. Not. A. Drill," she captioned the now viral post.
