Sky's THE LIMIT

Fifth-generation beef farmer Yolande Woods grew up on a cattle station in outback Australia where the quickest way to get to your neighbour is to fly.

Resilience runs through her blood. Yolande has lived through the devastating consequences of drought and worked on the harsh Australian landscape. It’s this strength and fortitude that has seen the 45-year-old mother-of-four from Goondiwindi, a small town on the Queensland and New South Wales border, take all of life’s challenges in her stride.

Now she is not only running a busy family, but she has a farm of her own as well. Yolande also overcame a breast cancer diagnosis while learning to become a pilot and has now launched her own luxury accessories brand, Aerohart.

“I just keep moving,” the busy mum shares with WHO from her home on the Macintyre River. “We get up early, and we don’t stop moving. I feel so fortunate that I don’t take anything for granted.”

Her gratitude stems from a time where she and her family suffered tragedy after tragedy.

In 2006, a farm staff member was tasked with jumping on the ride-on mower to cut grass at their property. Yolande was busy tending to other tasks when her son, Sam, ran into the house to tell her his brother was “dead”.
