The QUEEN'S lasting LEGACY

Remembering QUEEN ELIZABETH II

While September 8, 2022 may have started as just another ordinary day at their home in Windsor, it soon became one that Prince William and Princess Catherine will never forget. The couple’s lives changed forever in an instant when they lost not only the Queen but their beloved family matriarch with the death of Elizabeth II.

To mark the first anniversary of the occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, will make a poignant pilgrimage to St David’s Cathedral in Wales to lead tributes to her. But in the past year, the Queen has been at the forefront of everything they do. William and Kate have not only strived to make his grandmother proud as they’ve continued her work, but they’ve moulded themselves in Elizabeth’s image.

“From the late Queen, the most important thing that William and Kate ever learned was her motto of ‘Never explain, never complain,’” a source tells WHO. “Despite the stress and drama, she’d be really proud to see them quietly get on with the job and support the King.”

Forging ahead with their ambitious plans, including William unveiling his five-year program to help end homelessness in the UK, the Waleses have shut out the noise following repeated attacks from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex through their Harry & Meghan Netflix tell-all and his little brother’s memoir Spare. The latest shot fired by Prince Harry, 38, in the documentary Heart of Invictus slams those closest to him for not recognising he needed assistance following his return from deploying with the British Army for active service in Afghanistan in 2012.
