WHAT DO YOU GET when you cross a highly respected company that specializes in display technology with a quirky piece of tech that significantly differs from the traditional monitor? That’s right, you get a projector from BenQ. Given their size and vastly improved quality, projectors now bring a whole new level of immersion to whatever type of media you consume, including gaming, and that’s what BenQ has aimed to achieve with the X3000i. This ‘gaming’ projector should tick all the same boxes as a regular projector, but also double up as an immersive display for your gaming needs.
Before we dive into the quality of the display, let’s take a look at the physical aspects offered here. The X3000i doesn’t follow the typical design cues of a regular projector, instead, it looks more like a quartz block you’d find in Minecraft, albeit a little more interesting. The design features a white, orange, and black color scheme that we like very much. Along the front, there’s a black geometric pattern that gives the unit some character, while on the sides, the air inlet and outlet grilles fit seamlessly into the overall aesthetic.
