THE LIST - THE TOP FIVE CAPTURE CARDS
Maximum PC|August 2022
WHILE NVIDIA AND AMD’S increasingly sophisticated capture software can do a fantastic job of livestreaming or recording your gameplay prowess for the world to see, if you’re taking things seriously, you’ll probably still need a capture card. That’s because you’ll either want to have a dedicated computer to take care of the recording and mixing for a professional look, or you might just want to play a console game now and again. This varied list of cards, covering a range of prices, resolutions, and card type, allow you to do just that.
THE LIST - THE TOP FIVE CAPTURE CARDS

NZXT SIGNAL 4K30

NZXT may be late to the capture card game, but its newly-released Signal 4K30 looks to offer the company’s usual level of quality. It will capture in 4K30 and integrates with NZXT CAM software to ensure picture accuracy in your streaming software of choice such as OBS. A cheaper HD60 version is also available for $40 less.

AVERMEDIA LIVE GAMER DUO

This card has dual HDMI inputs on the rear. Why? So that you can mix two feeds at once, of course. You might want to use an SLR camera for the pro streamer look or stream yourself building a PC with one camera on you and another on your build. It may only capture up to 1080p60 HDR, but this is one versatile card.
