Prepping for your big day doesn't just involve lehenga trials and trousseau shopping, it's also about getting your skin in order to let you look your best. Healthy skin will ensure that your makeup looks fresher and better. Here are some popular facial treatments you can get - well in advance - at your dermatologist's.
HYDRAFACIAL
Probably the most popular facial around and for good reason: the results are instant. "A HydraFacial, also known as hydradermabrasion, is a patented skin treatment that combines deep cleansing (exfoliation), extraction, and hydration to improve the skin's health and appearance," explains Dr Niti Gaur, MD and founder of Citrine Clinic, Gurgaon. The benefits can be very obvious - the skin's texture is visibly improved, and, at times, seems acne free. Dr Niti cautions, however, that those who have rosacea or active acne should steer clear of this treatment.
ZO RED CARPET FACIAL
If it's good enough for Hollywood celebs, it's (probably) good enough for you. Dr Meghna Mour, co-founder and medical head of Skucci Supercliniq Mumbai, elaborates on the facial: "This non-invasive exfoliation treatment, beloved of celebrities, is perfect for brides-to-be. It enhances skin tone, texture, and clarity, ensuring a luminous glow without any downtime or redness. The ZO Red Carpet Facial combines gentle exfoliation with powerful hydration, leaving the skin smooth, firm, and revitalised." Results can be instantaneous, but Dr Meghna recommends four to six treatment sessions to ensure that your skin really looks its best.
