SOCIAL MEDIA STAR COURTNEY CLENNEY AND HER LIVE-IN PARTNER CHRISTIAN OBUMSELI GOT INTO A DOMESTIC DISPUTE AND ONLY COURTNEY SURVIVED
On April 2, 2022, the volatile couple in unit 2201 of Miami's One Paraiso condominiums seemed to be at it again. Early that morning three Miami-Dade police officers arriving at the waterfront building were told by the front-desk attendant that a tenant and her live-in boyfriend were having a violent argument in the lobby. In body cam footage Courtney Clenney, 25, a popular OnlyFans model who rented a $10,000-a-month condo with ocean views-and who was in the process of being evicted for nonpayment of rent and creating disturbances in the building-can be seen telling police she had recently broken up with her partner Christian Obumseli, 27, but that he refused to leave.
"He's been literally sleeping in my elevator room without my permission," Clenney told the officers in the video. "I want a restraining order. No, I'm serious. We're through." But after police told her that Obumseli was a legal resident of the building who hadn't apparently committed a crime, the officers left, and Clenney calmly returned to her condo.
It wasn't the last time authorities were called to the building in the wake of one of the couple's noisy fights. The next day, on April 3, 2022, Clenney called 911 and said that her boyfriend was dying of a stab wound. In the background a man later identified as Obumseli muttered, "I can't feel my arm. I'm going to die." At the scene police found Obumseli slumped on the floor, bleeding profusely from a wound on his shoulder, as Clenney cradled his head. He was pronounced dead at a hospital later that day.
