Paddy and Chris: Road Tripping
Sun, 8pm, BBC1 (box set, BBC iPlayer)
Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris are heading to Europe to explore the secrets of living a long and happy life in their new three-part BBC1 series Road Tripping.
With McGuinness turning 50 last year – and Harris not far behind – the pair are determined to tackle getting older as they investigate how Europeans age in style. It’s the pals’ first TV appearance together since Top Gear was put on hold following a serious accident suffered by Freddie Flintoff in December 2022.
In this week’s first episode, they take a tour of Sweden, where they join a group of 70-year-olds in the sauna, try their hands at ice hockey, and ride rollercoasters – while later in the series, they head to Greece and Switzerland, all in a bid to turn back the clock.
We caught up with the pair to hear more about the series…
