Bad Monkey
Available: Wed 14 Aug Genre: Comedy thriller Season: 1 Eps 10 (first two eps from Wed 14 Aug, then weekly)
From his breakthrough role in Swingers to films such as Wedding Crashers and Dodgeball, Vince Vaughn has cornered the market in confident, laid-back characters with a nice line in sarcastic put-downs.
Now, he's bringing that signature swagger to his latest role as the star of Bad Monkey, a comedy thriller based on Carl Hiaasen's novel and also featuring Catastrophe's Rob Delaney and Mission: Impossible actor Michelle Monaghan.
Vaughn plays Andrew Yancy, a suspended Florida cop who remains remarkably upbeat in the face of losing his job and car, being sued for assault by his love interest's husband and having to cope with an estate agent trying to sell a huge new property next to his peaceful beachfront home.
