LORRAINE KELLY: 40 UNFORGETTABLE YEARS
NEW WEDNESDAY, 9PM, ITV1 FACTUAL
As well as becoming a grandmother for the first time after daughter Rosie Smith and her fiancé Steve White recently welcomed baby girl Billie, the presenter has also been honoured with a BAFTA Special Award for her outstanding contribution to television and has had success with her debut novel, The Island Swimmer.
Now, ITV1 is marking her four decades in broadcasting with a special documentary, Lorraine Kelly: 40 Unforgettable Years, which will chart her incredible career from her big break as Scotland correspondent for ITV’s breakfast-time franchise TV-am in 1984 to the present day.
Here, Lorraine, 64, takes a trip down memory lane…
It’s shaping up to be a particularly landmark year for you, isn’t it, Lorraine?
Yes, 2024 has been very special. Obviously, the most magical thing that has happened is the birth of baby Billie, who is an absolute angel. I am completely besotted, and so proud of Rosie and her fiancé Steve, who are incredible parents.
