Comedian Jason Manford has never been busier. As well as embarking on a stand-up tour and getting ready to play head teacher Mr Savage in the new series of Waterloo Road, he’s also hosting BBC1’s new weekday afternoon quiz show The Answer Run.
A game of quick-thinking general knowledge, each episode features three pairs of contestants who are faced with a series of 50/50 questions. Swiping left or right towards the answer they think is correct could see them bank between £50 and £1,000 depending on how tricky the question is. But they could end up crashing out entirely as the game gets faster and questions get harder.
‘It’s one of those addictive television quiz shows where you’ll be sat at home screaming at the telly, “How could you get that wrong?!”’ says Jason, 43, who, here, tells us more…
