Q It’s the 19th series! Is the show still fun to make?
A Ant: Absolutely! It’s unlike any other show we do. It’s live and anything can happen. Dec: The beauty is, there are lots of elements we constantly interchange, keeping it fresh. That keeps us on our toes.
Q Can you tell us about this year’s Undercover segment, where you prank a celebrity by putting them in a sticky situation?
A Dec: We did Undercovers on Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark, which were both funny. Alison’s was a night in a creepy hotel but she kind of scuppered our plans when she refused to stay because it looked too scary! She got back in the car and said she was going home – until we manufactured a situation to make her stay for a while.
Q What can you tease about the new mini-serial, Murder at Bigwig Manor?
A Dec: It’s a whodunnit murder mystery. One Foot in the Grave’s Richard Wilson is playing the head of ITV, and he’s invited TV stars to his mansion to announce who’ll host the hottest new television show. One by one, the stars begin getting killed off, so we have to find the murderer before we get done, too!
Ant: There are cameos galore, with Stephanie Cole playing Stephen Mulhern’s nana, plus the likes of Davina McCall and Dermot O’Leary.
