Amor Vittone says she’s struggling to support her children on the R20 000 allowance she gets from the Bok’s estate

‘IT’S NOT WHAT JOOST WANTED’

IT’S been five years since Joost van der Westhuizen died of motor neurone disease and she’s had little peace in that time, the mother of his children says.

Amor Vittone has been in a bitter battle over her ex’s estate – and things recently flared up again when an emotional Amor posted a video on social media saying she was still “in a court battle”.

In the video Amor says her parents, Dario and Delyse, support her and her kids, Jordan (18) and Kylie (16), financially. They even sold their home to enable Jordan, a talented football player, to attend the Valencia Soccer Academy in Spain, she points out in the clip.

Although Amor (50) didn’t mention names, Joost’s brother Pieter van der Westhuizen – the executor of the estate – was caught off guard and affronted by what he calls “unfounded allegations”.

“I didn’t really consider the video an issue but I found it annoying that she got so whiny and tearful,” he tells YOU. “She makes it seem like we aren’t doing anything to resolve the matter and that's not true at all.

"Amor lives in a house [in Dainfern, Gauteng] worth R8 million and she's had two interested buyers this year alone. As far as I'm aware, her parents sold their house to move closer to her and the children. The rest is nonsense.

"I'm at my wit's end," he says. "Joost begged me to take care of the children's best interests and I'm doing all this for his sake.

"She continuously drags me into the media and I don't want to be in the media. All I want to do is honour my promise to my brother."
