Spanish label Loewe's Spring Summer 2024 collection is all about "reducing fashion to the silhouette". This concept is evident in creative director Jonathan Anderson's sly twist on wardrobe staples - see the pants with a waistline that extends up to the rib cage or the roomy sculpted Bermuda shorts held up with a larger-than-life pin. The same can be said of the pieces by the collection's key collaborator, Lynda Benglis - an art world giant known for her sculptures that appear to capture fluid substances in motion. The 82-year-old American artist is, of course, no stranger to Loewe. She previously appeared in the brand's Pre-fall 2022 campaign, while three of her fountains appeared on the runway at the Spring Summer 2024 menswear show. Her latest partnership with the brand takes things to a more intimate level: a 20-piece fine jewellery capsule comprising glittery rings, cuffs (see opposite), brooches, earrings, and pendants. Like shrunken versions of Benglis' abstract sculptures, every piece is a translation of one of her maquettes (read: test models for large sculptures) created in her Santa Fe studio.

The latest edition that hit boutiques here recently features collaborations with 11 names. Among them is superstar Canadian painter Anna Weyant, whose Dutch masters-inspired and moody yet humorous portraits of pretty young women were discovered on Instagram in 2019, then sold out in her very first show.
