In the past few years, or specifically since Covid and the subsequent lockdown(s), people have been giving more importance to the way they feel. It’s all about self-care in relationships, friendships, workspaces, and even in the comfort of one’s home. Since then, we’ve been trying to tap into different ways of keeping those happy juices flowing. For women, specifically, hormones play a larger role as being the deciders of whether we’re happy, sad, angry, hungry, or hangry. And even though there’s a ton of misinformation about menstrual cycles, and a lot of hype around the topic, it all boils down to how you can tap into your hormones, adjust those levels, and live an overall happier and healthier life. Clinical nutritionist Lovneet Batra mentions that the need for hormone hacking stems from the stressors around us: “Recently, our environment has been a source of far too many endocrine disruptors (fast food, blue light exposure, stress, inactivity, chemicals, and so on) that have created havoc in our hormonal health,” she adds.
