Since he was 15, Christian Louboutin has been fascinated by India, frequently travelling to the country and integrating its luxurious silks into his designs since 1991. For him, Indian fabric represents a true art form, and its beauty has consistently inspired him.
In a recent conversation, his upcoming Diwali Edit, launching in October, holds a special significance as it features ribbons he handpicked from his archives during his travels, weaving a personal narrative into each design. The vibrant palette, a blend of fuchsia, rose, and teal, harmonises with earthy tones of yellow, red, and gold, perfectly embodying the vibrancy and spirit of Diwali.
The women's line showcases the Maison's signature styles, including the iconic Loubi54 clutch adorned with golden rhinestones, and the Lady Bombay Diwali shoes, which combine traditional Indian motifs with bold, modern designs.
