The rise of Esther Abrami is an inspiring one. Born and raised in Aix-en-Provence, she transcended into the competitive scene of classical music as a teen and it wasn't long before she found space for self-expression in the social media sphere. With the release of her eponymous debut album on Sony Classical this year, the young artist's passion, courage and determination shone through at Zenith's "Meet the DreamHers 2022" global event in Singapore in celebration of women's empowerment. In our face-to-face interview, Abrami's generous account of her musical journey will spur one to always dream big and reach for the star, perfectly echoing Zenith's "Time to Reach Your Star" philosophy.
Congratulations on your debut album-what was it like to record a solo album?
How did you decide which tracks to include? Thank you...it was exciting actually, and having this project to work on during the lockdown definitely kept me busy and focused. It was important for the first thing I put out to represent who I am, and also to consider what people want to hear so I decided on different types of pieces because that represents me most to be honest. I love many different styles of music so a bit of everything would hopefully speak to different backgrounds and ages.
Please tell us more about the album's playlist.
