I’m chronically online. I could blame it on the nature of my job that requires me to stay synced, but if I’m being honest, I’m attached to the convenience and fun of the digital world. A full-on digital diet might be a little too rich for my current reality, but a digital detox? Sounds just right when I feel like taking a break.
Situated across the 13th floor of W Kuala Lumpur, the AWAY Spa is reminiscent of a posh underground lounge where one can refresh and recharge. Lights are dimmed and warm in the waiting room; deeper inside, vivid colours, playful scents, imaginative sounds and a soothing glow — very W-coded — come alive to evoke a sense of modern comfort. The mind and body are now ready to be immersed in the sanctuary of the Aromatherapy Steam Bath, Bio Sauna with Infrared Lights and Vitality Pool. Here, my digital detox experience began.
