For nearly 80 years, lovers of bold and colourful prints have turned to Pucci. Today, the Italian house remains up to the minute with Franco-Italian designer, Camille Miceli at the helm as Pucci's Artistic Director. One of the brand's icons, the Marmo motif, was designed in 1968. It draws inspiration from the ripples of the sun on the Mediterranean Sea. Now, the motif sees new life. The limited-edition Guerlain x Pucci Fall makeup collection has its packs gloriously covered with the psychedelic print, with gilt and eye-popping hues meeting on a stunning enamel finish, turning each object into an absolute collector's item.
One of the must-haves from the collection: Guerlain's star lipstick, Rouge G. The product, packed with pigmented shades and relaunched this year, is all the more covetable with its case now decorated with the swirls of the Marmo motif. Available in a new intense yet elegant plum shade with a satin finish, as well as a matte red with a velvety finish. The Guerlain x Pucci collection also features a long-lasting eyeshadow quad, Ombres G, in an original palette of four matte shades: orange-red, violet, black and white; the Parure Gold Cushion Marmo Glow foundation in Guerlain's bestselling 00N shade; and the Météorites Marmo Swirl, which contains pearls of powder in the French beauty house's popular 02 Cool pastel shades.
Below, Violette and Camille Miceli discuss the Guerlain x Pucci Fall collection.
Violette, do you remember how you discovered Pucci?
V: Of course! I was a teenager, about 12, walking along Rue Saint-Honoré, when I spotted an incredible dress in the window of the Pucci boutique. I was immediately drawn to the colourful, psychedelic print. I'd never seen anything like it before. It was a real aesthetic shock.
Camille, how did you discover Guerlain?
