So much of what we wish for when we go out to eat at what some would call a fine-dining restaurant has been considered in great detail by Chef Marvas Ng when he opened Path in 2022- fine dining with a menu that has pronounceable names of dishes. Democracy in a way that one can dictate for themselves if they can start with an appetiser or dessert. Allegiance to the heartiness of Chinese food that meets in the middle with French classical techniques. Let us not forget the wine menu too; one can choose the classics, but there are exotics from Lebanon or South Africa at Path.
How does one make sense of the new journey Ng wants his customers to go on? It is a road that splits into a fork lunch offerings include a prix fixe menu, a curated à la carte lunch menu, and a six-course set titled Voyage and an eight-course set called Expedition for dinner. However, with the prix fixe (the two words are French for fixed price) lunch menu, its cadence seems most conducive to the practice of the professionals who mill around Marina Boulevard - the power lunch.
