Not much has visibly changed in recent years after RIMOWA announced that they had joined luxury conglomerate LVMH. Such moves in the fashion business typically implore hiring a young designer tasked to reinterpret a classic technique, change its context, blow up or shrink some proportions to procure theatrical solutions for "heritage" problems or, in other words, to revive a stagnating brand. The frenzied media were focused on the booming market demand for newly revamped labels, and while that might usually be the case, RIMOWA's model remained the same. Its design-oriented catalogue today simply shows that the brand never had an issue with who they are and what they make.
