Everything is fine and magical till the baby is absolutely healthy but the dream gets shattered if there is some health issue in the baby. So what can be done to ensure that the baby who arrives in this world is healthy both physically & mentally? This can be achieved by "planned parenthood".

Pre pregnancy counselling is very important because by doing few tests and taking few supplements we can insure that our baby is healthy in all ways. There are some investigations like Hb electrophoresis, blood gp Rh, Rubella IgG, Varicella IgG,thyroid and sugar screening which one can do before planning a pregnancy. In fact screening of male partner should also be done as both sperms and eggs have to be healthy to ensure healthy baby and prevent miscarriage.
