A QUIET, LUXURIOUS GETAWAY ON ST. KITTS IS A HIDDEN GEM OF THE CARIBBEAN.
NATALIE GALE
ISLAND TIME

On the drive from the airport to the hotel, our taxi driver, Alvin, pulled over at the top of a hill the car had just climbed. Below us stretched one of the most beautiful views I’d ever seen. To the left, the cobalt Atlantic crashed onto the northeast shore of St. Kitts’ southern peninsula—to the right, the Caribbean Sea stretched along the lush coast, turquoise and lagoon-like.

In the distance, clouds shrouded the Nevis mountain peak, while the road in front of us wound down the mountain and disappeared behind a hill. At the end of the road sat our destination, the Park Hyatt St. Kitts.

At the southern tip of the island, the five-star hotel rests within the Christophe Harbor development on the most secluded part of St. Kitts. It’s the only Park Hyatt in the Caribbean, and features 126 guest accommodations—78 guest rooms and 48 suites.

Guests enter the property via a floating walkway above koi ponds and through a breathtaking open-air lobby, which opens out to the resort’s beach, postcard-perfect palm trees hanging over black sand and crystal clear water.
