WHEN KARL LAGERFELD visited a garden, he went to be inspired. And never more so than when the fashion designer visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2013 and stepped into Ulf Nordfjell's gold medal garden for Laurent-Perrier. That year, the Swedish botanist and landscape architect leaned into the romantic, painting in oranges and yellows, soft pinks and blues. Lagerfeld took notes on the spot and went on to base his entire next collection on it-a Chanel parade of blossoms in couture form.
