The Associated Cement Companies or ACC came being following the T merger of 11 cement companies in 1936. A pioneer in the Indian cement industry, the company set up the first indigenous cement plant and started the large-scale manufacturing of waterproof and portland cement. Besides, it is the first cement company that has leveraged computers for data processing and used RFID and GPS for tracking trucks.
