ADULTING IS WEIRD. It is an awkward, difficult, and arduous journey. Arguably, the best and worst part is that it never stops, though it does get easier with time. In my mind, I remain an “adult on a trial subscription”. The earlier stages of my adulthood were rougher, filled with odd phases (which I eventually grew out of but still recall fondly), unknown tension, and the uncertainty of navigating an uncharted life.
Perhaps this is why Onitsuka Tiger’s spring/summer 2025 showcase resonates with me. Through the lens of modern youth, the collection – titled Urban Beats – explores themes of coming of age. It is raw, vulnerable, and relatable, capturing a microcosm of my life in a single show.
