It’s the second most wonderful time of the year Easter! Hot cross buns, chocolate eggs, and of course, the question of what Easter is actually about. Some religious stories may have themes of heroics and bravery, godliness and salvation, but they can also be terrifying and confusing for children. However, this shouldn’t stop you from teaching them about these days.
BE KID -FRIENDLY
Just like fairy tales, the story of Easter is exciting, with a wonderful beginning, scary middle and happy ending. So don’t skip out on any of the parts, but limit the gory details much like how you’d tell any story that has a little terror in it. Allow them to also ask questions, and answer them with the truth, emphasising the good and lessons to be learnt. The same can be said about other religious holidays too just be sure not to over-preach or give information you aren't fully sure of.
