Founded in 2004, Heaven's Nest Child Care and Recreation Centre in Strandfontein, Cape Town, is an emergency foster facility for young children in need. It was initiated by the St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church in the area, which formed a 'task team' in response to the HIV pandemic, specifically geared towards children infected and affected by the disease.
