Like any relationship, being in one with someone that has an opposing personality can be a little challenging. Especially if you're the more upbeat, optimistic cheerleader versus your partner's moody, Debbie-Downerness. But there are pros and cons to being in such a relationship. When speaking to Leah Sefor, a life and relationship coach, and author of the new book That's Not What I Meant!, she explained that having a pessimistic or realistic partner can help ground you and bring focus to what is manageable and realistic. On the other hand, you can often feel unsupported, or have your spirits dampened by their 'worst-case scenarios'. How do we get a handle on a relationship situation like this?
