It's been a decade since Madboy Mink first burst onto the scene with their distinctive sound. Two months after the release of their new hit single "Faramosh", the duo is back to the centre of the cultural conversation as they reintroduce their signature blend of funk and disco. With the buzz around their upcoming EP, Saba Azad and Imaad Shah-bandmates, best friends and once romantic partners-discuss their evolving relationship, their musical and style influences, and some of their most memorable performances, all while rocking some of the season's best occasionwear.

ON THEIR EVER-EVOLVING RELATIONSHIP

For Azad and Shah, Madboy Mink is much more than a musical partnership—it's a longenduring friendship. Despite their past romantic involvement, their connection has evolved into a deeply rooted collaboration. "At the end of the day, if two people are good, everything else ceases to exist," Azad reflects. "Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't, but there's no reason to stop making art together."

Shah agrees, noting, "Evolved would be the right word for our relationship," he says. "There's definitely friction sometimes, but we've known each other for so long. Our equation with each other has gone through so many shapes and forms. And despite all of that, she continues to remain one of the most-if not the most-precious friends that I have," he adds. For both, the true reward lies in their creative synergy. "We are, after all, aesthetic twins, and that's why we've lasted this long," says Azad.

ON CRAFTING THE SOUND OF MADBOY

MINK The duo's distinctive sound is rooted in artistic authenticity rather than following fleeting trends. "We create music that pleases us," Azad asserts. "When we make music, it's about expressing what's inside us, not chasing an audience. It's about our aesthetic, not the crowd's."

Shah echoes this commitment to creativity.
