Neelam Kothari Soni
ACTRESS & JEWELLERY DESIGNER, NEELAM JEWELS
How easy or difficult was it to be yourself in front of the camera?
Well, frankly speaking, I have done over 40 films, so for me to be in front of the camera was no big deal. I am used to it. The only apprehension I had was that I am facing the camera after so many years. But otherwise, I was fine being in front of the camera.
How has your relationship with fame changed over the years and after the reality show?
As I started working in films at a very young age, I have dealt with fame and success. It feels great to be back and admired with Bollywood Wives, but I think it’s very important to be grounded. My parents always told me, if you see success, don’t let it go to your head.
What was your first reaction when you were asked to do the show?
I was excited, and honestly, I didn’t take Karan seriously. But, I was all game for it as I never thought it would happen. Soon I got nervous and almost backed out, as doing a reality show is not an easy thing because you’re putting yourself out there for judgement. The other three were ready and convinced me to just give it a shot as I have got nothing to lose. Today, I am happy I made this decision.
Is there any moment of you guys together that you would want to relive? Or a memory together that you cherish?
There are so many moments! When all four of us are together, we just have such a great time. For example, Doha was great fun when we went for season one. That was memorable because we’ve got so many hysterical and funny moments that we’ve shared.
