NAD C 700

As the most affordable of NAD's streaming amp family, at its core the C 700 is a combination of the A company's UCD Class D amp technology - which creates a switching amplifier from discrete analogue sections rather than a single chip amp - and the BluOS streaming front end that underpins many NAD and Bluesound components.

The amplifier section produces a claimed 80W into both 4ohm and 8ohm loads with peak output of 100W into the latter and 125W into the former. It delivers this into a single set of speaker terminals partnered by a subwoofer out.

The BluOS installation combines exceptional streaming service integration with a stable and well laid out music library. It also has full Roon certification. What elevates the C 700 above more terrestrial stablemates is the use of the fullcolour display from the M10v2 and M33 (HFC 466).

As well as the streaming module, the C 700 is fitted with a single coaxial and optical input, an HDMI ARC connection, two analogue line inputs, AirPlay 2 and two-way aptX HD Bluetooth. Sample rate is 24-bit/192kHz PCM, there's native MQA but no DSD.
