After King Charles unceremoniously evicted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their Frogmore Cottage home, it was hard to picture Prince Harry setting foot on Windsor Castle’s grounds again.
Even more so that his “arch nemesis” big brother Prince William had moved just a 10-minute stroll down the garden path at Adelaide Cottage.
But New Idea can reveal that last week, Harry, 38, secretly returned to the marital home he renovated with Meghan when he made a surprise appearance at a London pre-trial legal hearing over alleged phone hacking by the Daily Mail newspaper.
“No-one knew Harry was coming – except for Charles and William, who were told last minute,” says a well-placed source. “As Harry’s lease on Frogmore isn’t technically up until after the coronation, they couldn’t stop him turning up on palace property.”
