LITTLE MACY JUST COULDN’T WAIT TO ENTER THE WORLD

One single thought raced through Wendy Graham’s mind as her husband Courtney raced towards the hospital on January 9 – “We’re not going to make it.”

Wendy was in labour, and as Courtney dodged traffic on Perth’s busy Mitchell Freeway, she knew her second baby wasn’t going to wait around – forcing the mum to deliver her daughter, Macy, on the side of the highway!

“When I had my first baby, I had an epidural … so I never knew what that urge to push felt like,” explains Wendy, 36.

“When I put my hand down, and I could feel like this little dome … I freaked out. I think I just did two more really big pushes, and I basically had my hands on her.”

Fighting to stay calm behind the wheel, Courtney recalls the moment he glanced over to check on his wife, only to see little Macy about to be delivered in the front seat of their Toyota Prado!
