JESSE AND PAIGE INSIST ALL IS NOT AS IT SEEMS

From the get-go, Blockhead Paige and her carpenter fiancé Jesse were labelled the villains of this year's The Block. Yet the young couple, who were constantly shown verbally attacking one another, insist that couldn't be further from the truth.

New Idea spoke to the pair during their recent trip to Cyprus, where they maintained: "We didn't do anything villainous."

Jesse, 30, added that their European holiday was "perfect timing" after the draining and emotional experience of filming. Paige, 27, says it also provided them with some much needed "R&R".

It's long been teased that one team will leave Block Island this week, with many pointing the finger at Paige and Jesse.

In a recent interview on the So Dramatic! podcast, Paige insisted that the person she's portrayed to be on The Block is not the real her.

"One of my biggest pain points is how much The Block pretends to care about mental health and really puts up a front that they try to create a safe environment when the reality is that they actively facilitate an unsafe environment because they want drama," she said.
