“The idea is always to create watches that are different from other brands. We want to be different because we see that consumers like it. They like knowing that they will only be able to get this certain watch from Hublot,” says the brand’s CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe. Referring to the aforementioned citrus-like Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon Saxem, he continues, “Every colour in sapphire is a big challenge. It takes a lot of time to research and develop, because the raw material in sapphire is very difficult to produce. It takes weeks, sometimes even around three months, just to produce the raw material.”
