The arrival of the warmer weather provides a great opportunity to get fit without paying exorbitant gym fees - something many might be thankful for right now, given all the hardship being faced as a result of the cost of living crisis. Those looking to monitor their workouts will be pleased to hear that there are many affordable wearables available that don't break the bank: fitness trackers.
The smaller, cheaper and simplified fitness tracker represents excellent value for money, making it more appealing to people on a budget than a fully fledged smartwatch that - in some instances - can cost five times as much. You can, for example, buy three Fitbit Charge 5 trackers for almost the same price as the cheapest iteration of the Apple Watch 7 smartwatch. Yet it still sports some of the key features for accurately tracking general health.
Traditionally, many fitness enthusiasts would turn their noses up at more affordable fitness trackers due to their limited feature set when compared to pricier wearables such as running or multi-sport watches. However, modern variations offer a lot more for the money than they used to, with even more basic fitness bands sporting what was once considered advanced tech, such as optical heart rate sensors, high-res displays and GPS.
