Australian good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance despite their eccentric friends? It’s a movie that has been copied but never better and the songs are to this day some of the best put on screen. Times might have changed in 2022 but summer lovin’ will always be welcomed in this all-time classic.
E.T. One of the greatest films of all time and arguably Steven Spielberg’s grand opus, E.T. is a timeless film, in which one boy takes on the ultimate summer project of returning a strange visitor back to his home planet. E.T. is so popular that Netflix’s Stranger Things borrowed so many elements from it wholesale, but with good reason. Nothing screams 80s summertime in the US than E.T. itself. Even if only because you watched it on repeat as a child, this one is sure to have you nostalgic for summers long-gone.
