A legend in the world of country music, Kris Kristofferson has written hits including Me And Bobby McGee, Help Me Make It Through The Night, and For The Good Times. A contemporary of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash he was a leading light in the ‘outlaw country’ sound of the 1970s, a harder-edged style that eschewed the commercialism of Nashville. This sound arguably reached its apogée with the formation of supergroup The Highwaymen featuring all of the aforementioned ‘outlaws’.
