Contrasts that Complement
India Today|February 26, 2024
Can a home be at once subtle and at another glance, bold? Step into this Mumbai apartment and discover how dichotomies are designed for drama.

Contrasts that Complement

One of the beautiful things about art, architecture and design is their ability to reflect the things we see and experience around us. Our travels, thoughts, inspirations and encounters always find a way to wiggle into our designs in the most discreet way. This house speaks loud and clear of its inspirational roots, which come, incidentally, from the natural world us and around itself. Settled amidst sky-high towers in the bustling lanes of Mumbai, this 1,900 sq ft apartment is occupied by a young and dynamic couple and their child with three bedrooms, a living room, a media room, a kitchen and a small balcony.

Learn the Layout

As you enter through a wide corridor, the living room with never ending views of the bay towards one end and rooms to the left and right of it, welcomes you. The master bedroom and office are tucked towards one side, and the kids and grandparents room to the other. The kitchen with the service zone is towards the entry and almost obscure.
